Farblose ölige Flüssigkeit. Schmelzpunkt {{0}},5 Grad Siedepunkt 152-153 Grad, 59-60 Grad (2 kPa), relative Dichte 0,9232 (20/4 Grad), Brechungsindex 1,4410. Mit Alkohol und Ether mischbar, löslich in 10 Teilen Wasser.
Wird hauptsächlich als Antikalkmittel und Silikonhärter für Alkydharzbeschichtungen verwendet. Dieses Produkt wird als Antioxidans zur Verhinderung von Ablagerungen verwendet und hat eine bessere Wirkung als Butyraldehydoxim und Cyclohexanonoxim.
